Furry Babies

We’re Dog People

Yeah, we love our dogs. You could probably say we’re slightly obsessed with our furry little friends. I can’t imagine what our lives would be like without them.  And now that we have two, I can’t imagine how we ever lived with only one dog! They’re always there to keep me company during the day while my hubby is at work. And they’re always doing funny things to make me laugh.

These pictures kill me.

I can’t stop laughing looking at these pictures.

Meet Roxie

On February 3, 2009 we welcomed a 2.5 lb Boston terrier into our lives. She’s full of personality and loves to cuddle. I haven’t met a single person that hasn’t fallen in love with her – including people that claim they don’t like small dogs. Her favorite activity is playing with her tennis balls and running around in our big backyard. Also, she loves licking every thing – she’ll lick the floor, walls, dirt, trees, a mirror, the toilet, a shoe, the list goes on. We haven’t accomplished much as far as training goes, but she knows how to sit for treats and she kisses on demand. Good enough for me!

Meet Layla

On May 9, 2012 we welcomed a 45 lb Boxer into our lives. We actually found her on Craigslist and had planned on waiting a week to rescue her, but I went to work that Wednesday night and my husband took it upon himself to go pick her up. It was one of the best things he’s ever done! She’s still scared of most people, but she’s super loving and super playful when she’s comfortable with you. Her favorite activities are chewing on bones and looking out the window barking at birds. She also loves playing with blankets and rolling around the floor getting herself tangled up in them. Adopting her has made me realize that we will now ONLY adopt dogs – no more buying from breeders!
